While in Tenerife, Callum took a call from the new coaching team at East Fife, informing him that they had arranged a loan for him at an East of Scotland 1st Division club for 24/25.
Since this was two leagues lower than where he had had a successful and mostly effective loan spell in 23/24, Callum felt that this loan deal was not right for him. He and East Fife agreed to terminate their contract by mutual consent.
Having got back to peak fitness in Tenerife, match fitness was now the goal. Therefore, Callum accepted an invitation to join Whitburn; newly promoted to the East of Scotland Premier League after consecutive promotions under head coach Darren Wilson.
